The Dalai Lama is Coming!
02.22.11
On May 4, the Dalai Lama will return to UCI to engage students and the community in a dialogue about global and ethical leadership, personal responsibility and compassion at the Center for Living Peace.
Pricing for the Dalai Lama event will be available online here on March 22. For more information, go to livingpeace.uci.edu.
In the meantime, Greer's OC received these fun pictures of Sir Richard Branson from the last Living Peace Speaker Series where more than $250,000 was raised for Virgin Unite.
Sir Richard Branson was the star of the evening in full pirate regalia as he challenged entrepreneurs “to be a force for good” at last month’s speaker series and shared fun anecdotes about how the Queen must have forgiven him for Virgin’s days with the Sex Pistols before knighting him.
He answered questions about like “What’s your biggest obstacle as an entrepreneur?”

‘Everybody will tell you why your idea is wrong.” Branson says. “Nine out of ten new ideas will fail. I say, screw it, just do it, that’s also a book I wrote."

The Center for Living Peace is open Tuesday through Sunday. At the University Center Shopping Center at 4139 Campus Drive in Irvine. 949.854.5500.
